“When I joined Cigna about 2 years ago, I was able to help launch our community service efforts through a partnership with Open Hand Atlanta – a food delivery service that strives to eliminate disability and untimely death due to nutrition-sensitive chronic disease. I met a member while at the event and she was so excited that we were there. It helped me make the connection that we are so much more than an insurance company – we help our communities thrive. I believe everyone’s purpose in life is to serve and Cigna helps me do just that.”

More ways to get involved: Enterprise Resource Groups (ERGs)

ERGs are employee led and governed organizations sponsored by the executives of Cigna. They offer employees the opportunity to network, enhance personal development, contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment, and give back to the community through partnerships with leading organizations. Each ERG has a unique focus, fostering cross-company connections among employees whose paths might never cross during the course of a regular workday. See how you can get involved:

Purpose: To promote the empowerment, mobility, health and holistic success of people of African descent through resources and networking opportunities that reflect our unique experiences.
Promise: To build a more diverse and inclusive environment committed to cultivating opportunities for employees of African descent.

Purpose: To inspire, empower and retain our Asian/South Asian colleagues with a focus on personal and professional development.
Promise: To create a vibrant and welcoming environment that offers value and opportunity to our Asian/South Asian colleagues, our customers and the communities we serve.

Purpose: Understanding and support for the unique LGBTQ+ needs and challenges of our employees, customers and clients.
Promise: To champion positive change to foster an inclusive work environment where all employees are empowered, supported and encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.

Purpose: To provide our Hispanic/Latino employees with opportunities for growth, learning, and development.
Promise: To create a diverse, inspirational and inclusive environment that showcases the contributions of our Hispanic/Latino employees and allies.

Purpose: To provide a supportive home base for a diverse network of Cigna employees spanning five generations, who offer a deep pool of life learnings that can enrich our personal and professional lives.

Purpose: Serve as a champion for employees of all abilities by fostering a supportive community dedicated to creating a more diverse, inclusive and accessible work environment.
Promise: To bring about significant change in how we talk about, serve and enable people with disabilities, and to ensure their unique value and strengths are leveraged in support of the business.

Purpose: Establish us as an industry leader in the area of religious diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Promise: To enhance our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace by supporting employees of all faiths and none as they bring their whole selves to work.

Purpose: To provide resources and support that enable all employees to develop, connect, and build a stronger sense of community both inside and outside of Cigna.
